All the rushing around trying to fit everything in is really tiring.
5:30 wake up
5:40 leave for the yard
6:00 arrive at the yard. Turn Sapphire out and long rein Deli. As the school is past the fields I get Deli ready with the roller and clip the second lunge line onto the roller but still gathered up. Then I put his turnout rug on over the top. He carries his rug to his field which I get both of them to stand whilst I take the rug off and leave on the floor outside. Deposit Sapphire in her field, luckily they're good together as Deli doesn't really understand waiting outside the gate so comes in too and I let Sapphire go. Then we walk to the school to long rein. After long reining I pick up Sapphire's head collar on the way back to Deli's field. Take off his bridle and put her head collar on him so I have a rope to hang onto - quite funny as it's massive on him! Then take off the roller, rug him up and turn him out. Back on the yard I do the stable waters, clean feed buckets and make feeds whilst Sapphire's hay soaker is filling up.
6:45 leave the yard
7:10 home to get ready for work and have a cup of tea whilst watching morning news
7:40 leave for work
8:00 arrive at work to have breakfast and get started on the day
17:00 leave work for the yard, change into my yard boots before leaving so not to get my work shoes dirty
17:30 park at the bottom of the lane to walk to the yard. The track is so pot-hole-y I try not to drive down it more than once a day as I dont want to damage my car. Put Sapphire's hay net into soak. Muck out Deli, fill his hay box up. Muck out Sapphire, rince the wheelbarrow out to carry her haynet to the stable. Take haynet out of soaker to drain on the pallet. Catch Sapphire, she waits outside Deli's gate so Deli comes to the gate to be caught, lead them both in. Sapphire ties up outside her stable whilst I groom Deli outside his. He goes in his stable, groom Sapphire if I have time and then go get their feeds and hay.
18:30 leave the yard for home
19:00 get home, have a shower. Cook dinner and sit on the sofa watching TV, normally net flix I'm addicted to suits right now
21:00 to 22:00 go to sleep to start it all again depending on how tired I am.
Hopefully winter will be over soon
