I was well on track yesterday to stick to my daily allowance of 26 points but after dinner I had a jelly and then peanut butter and jam on toast! Oh dear
I commute to work, and with the horse's being 15 miles away I drive alot. I'm up at 5:30, leaving the house by 5:40 and at the yard at 6:00. It takes me around 45mins to turn my tow out, put hay out in each field and then muck out two stables. I leave the yard by 6:45 and I'm home at about 7:15 depending on the traffic through the road works. Now my bugbears are:
1.) People who are in the right hand lane of a duel carriageway not over taking.
Now I understand some people dont like to drive to the speed limit due to safety/fuel consumption/dont believe their speedos tell them the truth but please use the right hand lane as a over taking lane and once you've overtaken then move back over. The left hand lane doesn't have a maximum speed limit under the normal speed limit! Someone once told me that they thought they could only do upto 50mph in the left lane on a national speed limited road. They thought to do 50-70mph they needed to be in the right lane!
2.) People who tail-gate
3.) People who stop at the begining of slip roads to the dual carriagway to give way
It's a slip road!!!! use it to build up speed so you can safely enter the moving traffic
4.) People who pull out into the right hand lane because they'd like to turn right in 3 miles. Coupled with people who hog the right lane for the last 6 miles and come to a round about and go straight on!
Drivers really need to be more considerate to the other road users. We all have somewhere to get to and we're all in a hurry but if everyone is nice to everyone then it wouldn't be so stressful.
